MISSION STATEMENT The Purpose of Chi Rho Omicron shall be to promote the understanding, enrichment, and appreciation of the Pilipino culture, history, and heritage through a brotherhood/family environment. To instill the desire for self-improvement, scholastic excellence and the cultivation for civic responsibility. The Brothers of Chi Rho Omicron, Inc are versed in historical and current issues of relevance regarding the the people of Philippines (both native and Filipino-American). In this spirit of National pride, XPO hosts informational nights promoting subject matter encompassing topics like the evolution of the Philippine flag, the role of Filipino-American workers in the California Agricultural Labor Movement, the WWII Veteran's Equal Rights and Benefits movement, the ancient art of Philippine Alibata Script, time honored traditions, as well as many other important historical figures/events. Brothers also attend/participate in Filipino-American related gatherings including Delano's Annual Filipino Weekend, Fullerton’s Friendship Games, and the various PCN programs in each chapter's respective academic institutions. Scholastic Achievement & Community Involvement Chi Rho Omicron takes pride in academics. The organization has members that are among the brightest in their respective majors including Business, Art, Health Science, Journalism, and many others. Each brother does his best to aid their fellow colleagues in regards to their particular fields and specialties. XPO contributes to the betterment of the community by hosting fundraisers for programs like Light the Night from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, participating in the Ronald McDonald House Charities and being surrogate male model figures for the Boys 2 Men Girls to Women Foundation Bowl-a-thon. Chi Rho Omicron has been recognized by the Universal Greek Council (UGC) for Outstading Participation, Outstanding Academic Achievement, and Outstanding Campus Involvement. |
